What does it do?
TapMate detects crosswalks, traffic signs, and obstacles in real time — and speaks them out loud to the user.
“Crosswalk detected. 20 steps ahead.”
It gives early warnings so users can cross safely, with more confidence and independence.
As the user approaches, TapMate begins scanning for nearby cars using the side cameras — and alerts the user if it’s safe to proceed
How does it work?
Using a four-camera array — two front-facing and two lateral — TapMate captures a 180° field of view to monitor the user’s environment in real time.
Visual data is processed locally using onboard AI to identify crosswalk patterns, traffic signs, and spatial landmarks.
There’s no dependency on cloud connectivity — just immediate, edge-based computation for faster, safer decision-making.
